Eligibility Criteria for Taking Admission in Srmist:

• • To take admission in SRMIST in the engineering department, candidates have to appear for an entrance test which is known as SRMJEE.
• • All Indian residents and non Indian residents must be holders of PIO( Person of Indian Origin) or OCI(Overseas Citizens of Indian) issued by the Government of India are eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
• • Applicants must have cleared the higher secondary examination from an authorized board of India.
• • Applicants need to secure a minimum 60% in higher secondary examinations.
• • Applicants must have physics,chemistry, and math as their mandatory subjects in higher secondary examination.

Admission Process at SRMIST:

• • Applicants need to visit the official website of SRMIST and fill the application form for the entrance exam first.
• • Applicants need to fill all the field with * as they are mandatory fields.
• • Applicants must be ready with extra scanned photocopies of the documents.
• • Before submitting the application kindly do crosscheck to avoid any mistake.
• • Once the application form is successfully submitted there will be an application number generated, save it as it will be used in future for admission purposes.

Documents Required at the Time Admission at SRMIST:

• • Attach the 10th and 12th certificate and marksheet.
• • Both front and back side of the marksheet need to be copied while sending at SRMIST.
• • Make sure all the information on the marksheet is in English , if it is not, transcript it in English and then send the documents.
• • Proof of the NRI status of the student and parents.
• • Passport copy of the parents ,if available at the time of admission.
• • A valid email ID and phone number.
• • Candidate’s scanned image of photograph and signature.

Pattern of the Entrance Exam:

The exam pattern of the SRMJEE is very basic. Those who want to pursue engineering in technical stream will attempt the question of math instead of biology and those who want to go for genetic engineering will be attempting biology instead of math questions.Question paper will be having five sections such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, English and Aptitude.

• • The duration of SRMJEEE 2024 is 2 hours 30 minutes.
• • The exam paper consists of 125 multiple-choice questions and 1 mark will be awarded for each question.
• • There is no negative marking.
• • The application fee for SRMJEEE 2024 is INR 1200.

Hostel and Mess Facility at SRMIST:

• The students at SRMIST hostels are provided with all the basic facilities, to live comfortably.
