GPAT means Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test. It is an entrance exam. The exam is conducted by NTA. It is important for pharmacy students to get admission to pharmacy college in the country to pursue post graduation in pharmacy.
Eligibility Criteria for GPAT
- • The students need to be citizens of India.
- • They need to have a bachelor degree in Pharmacy.
- • They need to have a degree from a recognized college of MCI.
- • Students with BTech degrees in Pharmaceuticals and fine chemical technology are not eligible to take GPAT
GPAT Syllabus
Physical Chemistry : This portion consists of questions that are from composition and physical states of matter, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, kinetics, colligative properties, refractive index, electrochemistry and kinetics.
Physical Pharmacy : This portion consists of questions that are from matter, surface and interfacial phenomenon, dispersion system, buffer, micromeritics and powder rheology, viscosity and rheology, complexation and solubility.
Organic Chemistry : This portion consists of questions from general principles of organic chemistry that the students have learned during their graduation years.
Pharmaceutics : This portion consists of questions from general principles of pharmaceutics that the students have learned during their graduation years.
Pharmacology : This portion consists of questions from general principles of pharmacology that the students have learned during their graduation years.
Biochemistry : This portion consists of questions from general principles of biochemistry that the students have learned during their graduation years.
Microbiology : This portion consists of questions from general principles of microbiology that the students have learned during their graduation years.
Pathophysiology : This portion consists of questions from general principles of pathophysiology that the students have learned during their graduation years.
Pharmaceutical Management : This portion consists of questions from general principles of pharmaceutical management that the students have learned during their graduation years.
NEET PG Registration Process
- The students have to register themselves on the official website of NTA.
- The admission window stays open for one to two weeks.
- They have to generate the Login ID and Password for login.
- The students have to upload the requested documents.
- At last, the students need to check the application form correctly.
- The students need to pay a fee after that.
Admit Card
- The students need to check in for admit card details.
- They have to check for the admit card when the registration window gets closed.
- The students have to take a printout of the admit card that will be needed in the examination center.

Preparation for GPAT
The preparation for the GPAT should be done adequately and you need to have some things in mind for the exam.

Important Things for GPAT
- The students always need to have their admit card along with them.
- They also need to carry a valid identity along with them that can be asked by the examination center.
