MBA NMAT Exam

NMAT is officially known as Narsee Monjee Aptitude Test. It is an important test to get admission in MBA colleges in the country. It has become a popular entrance examination to become a business professional in the country. It is a computer based test comprising three sections to clear it. It tests the students' decision making ability and time management skills that are mandatory to know before giving them admission in management studies.

Eligibility Criteria for SNAP
  • • Their qualification is mentioned by the board to sit in the exam. The students need to atleast have a graduation degree to sit in this exam.
  • • The students who want to enroll in an MBA course need to have a graduate degree in any field.
  • • NMAT exam is not required to have any experience to be seated in the exam. But, if you are trying to give this test for MBA you need to have experience accordingly.
  • • The students waiting for their final year exam results can also try for the NMAT examination.
Syllabus of NMAT

The NMAT has three sections that need to be completed within a time frame.

Language Skills : This portion consists of questions that are in the form of analogies, sentence formation, comprehension passages, para forming and comprehension passages. This section tests verbal ability, english language skills and reading comprehension of a student. The student can take this section out easily if they have a good eye and sharp memory to remember the small details they have just read to solve the questions.

Logical Reasoning : This portion consists of questions that are in the form of analytical puzzles, critical reasoning, deductions and other reasoning questions. This section tests analytical, digital making and reasoning skills of a student. The students can take this section out if they have a sharp brain that can understand these types of problems within a bare minimum time.

Quantitative Skills : This portion consists of questions that are from arithmetic, algebra, data interpretation caselets and tables, number properties, probability and data interpretation graphs and charts. This section tests the data sufficiency and data interpretation skills of the student. The students can take this section out easily if the student practices the mock tests at a good level.

NMAT: Things to Know
  • The application form needs for the exam to be submitted online.
  • The registration window stays open for a period of 1 month.
  • The students have to fill out all the details.
  • They have to mention the active mail and phone number.
  • They have to pay the application fee before the deadline.
  • The results are declared after 1 week of giving the exams.
  • The students can attempt the exam in three attempts.
  • They can take the attempt after 15 days.
Registration Process
  • The students have to register on the official website.
  • They have to generate the Login ID and Password for the reference.
  • They have to upload the requested documents by the registration committee.
  • At last, the students need to check the form correctly.
  • The students need to pay after that.
Admit Card
  • The students need to check in for admit card details.
  • They have to check for the admit card when the registration window gets closed.
  • The students have to take a printout of the admit card that will be needed in the examination center.
Important Things for NMAT
  • The students always need to have their admit card along with them.
  • They also need to carry a valid identity along with them that can be asked by the examination center.
  • They are not allowed to take calculators, smart watches, phones, tablets and any other electronic devices along with them inside the center.
  • They are not allowed to have metallic jewelry and accessories inside with them.
  • They are required to mention all the courses and subjects of MBA.
  • They are not allowed to take bags, clothes with lots of pockets, jackets and closed footwear inside the examination hall.
  • They are not allowed to have any eatables and beverages with them inside the center.
NMAT Results
  • The students can look for the results from the official website.
  • They will have a message and email received to them to check the results.
  • The students can have a copy of results with them for future references.
  • They are required to check the results on time to get the college of their choice.

Preparation for NMAT

The preparation for NMAT should be done adequately and you need to have some things in mind for the exam.

  • The notes are important. They need to have formulas and notes of important things that may be needed for revision.
  • The students need to formulate the habit to read newspapers, magazines and other things for new words and have quick reading ability.
  • The students have to practice the abilities and improve the speed for quick time management that is needed in the exam.
  • The students can get a knowledge of weaker and stronger areas from this which allows them to manage their time in the exam.
  • The students are required to take a healthy break within their study session to give the brain a good rest.
