MBA MAT Exam

MAT is officially known as a Management Aptitude Test. It is taken by the students to pursue an MBA degree within the country. The exam is a computer -based exam. The exam tends to manage the analytical abilities in a student that can be judged with the help of sections like quantitative and verbal reasoning sections. This exam does not test the students from management education only it tests the basic knowledge of verbal skills and mathematics in a student. It makes sure that you present all the skills and values that are needed to get admission in a management institution.

Eligibility Criteria for MAT

• • There is no qualification mentioned by the board to sit in the exam.
• • The students who want to enroll in an MBA course need to have a graduate degree in any subject.
• • MAT exam is not required to have any experience to be seated in the exam. But, if you are trying to give this test for MBA you need to have experience accordingly.
• • The students waiting for their final year exam results can also try for the MAT examination.

Syllabus for MAT

There are various sections that come in the MAT examination.

Language Comprehension : This portion consists of questions that are from reading comprehension, fill in the blanks, sentence correction, antonyms and synonyms, parajumbles, one word substitution, verbal ability and idioms and phrases. The students need to have a keen eye to take this section out.

Data Analysis and Sufficiency : This portion consists of questions that are from tables, pie charts, caseletes based data, graphs, data sufficiency, graphs, data sufficiency, charts, bar diagrams, venn diagrams and data comparison. Mathematical Skills: This portion consists of questions that are from algebra, trigonometry, number system, LCM, HCF, set theory, geometry, mensuration, percentage and inequalities. This section tests the ability of mathematics in students.

Intelligence and Critical Reasoning : This portion consists of questions that are from blood relations, coding, decoding, syllogism, calendars, family tree, numeric grid, clocks and visual reasoning.

Indian and Global Environment : This portion consists of questions that are from static GK, technology, sports, events, awards and recognition, history, science, business, world news, politics, art and history.

MAT: Thing to Know

• The application form needs for the exam to be submitted online.
• The registration window stays open for a period of 6 months.
• The students have to fill in all the details.
• They have to mention the active mail and phone number.
• They have to pay the application fee before the deadline.
• The result is declared a month after the exam.

Registration Process

• The students have to register on the official website.
• They have to generate the Login ID and Password for the reference.
• They have to upload the requested documents by the registration committee.
• At last, the students need to check the form correctly.
• They need to pay after that.

Admit Card

• The students need to check in for admit card details.
• They have to check for the admit card when the registration window gets closed.
• The students have to take a printout of the admit card that will be needed in the examination center.

Important Things for MAT

• They also need to carry a valid identity along with them that can be asked by the examination center.
• They are not allowed to take calculators, smart watches, phones, tablets and any other electronic devices along with them inside the center.
• They are not allowed to have metallic jewelry and accessories inside with them.

• They are not allowed to take bags, clothes with lots of pockets, jackets and closed footwear inside the examination hall.
• They are not allowed to have any eatables and beverages with them inside the center.

Preparation for MAT

The preparation for GMAT should be done adequately and you need to have some things in mind for the exam.

• The notes are important. They need to have short formulas and notes of important things that are needed on the day of examination for revision.
• The students need to formulate the habit to read newspapers, magazines and other things for new words and have quick reading ability.
• The students have to practice the abilities and improve the speed for quick time management that is needed in the exam.
