Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria in Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science:-

B.Tech

• • The student must get at least 60% in their 12 or equivalent examinations in Chemistry, Physics, and Maths.
• • For a B.Tech in Biotechnology, the student must get at least 60% in their 12th or equivalent examinations in Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.

2nd Year B.Tech. Programmes

• • The student must have done a diploma with the branch of Engineering/ Tech/ B.Sc with Mathematics as a subject.
• • They should obtain an average of 50% in their final year.
• • The candidate should not be above 21 years of age in July of the year of admission.

M.Tech

• • The student should have a degree in B.E. / B.Tech. (Aero. / Aerospace / Civil / Mech. / Mechatronics)/ AMIE / AMAeSI (Aero) from a recognized institute.

B.Tech Selection Process

• • The HITS selection process begins with a counseling session that will allot seats to the students in the university.
• • Students will get a seat in the B.Tech course according to their merit and their preferences.
• • When the counselling session is completed then the students can follow the admission process.

B.Tech Eligibility Criteria (lateral entry) at HITS

The eligibility criteria for students with diplomas and B.Scs who want to take admissions to the B.Tech courses offered by Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science through lateral entry are different from one another. Details are given below for the diploma and B.Sc.

Diploma:-

• • Students must get at least 50% in any branch of Engineering/ Technology from the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu.
• • The student can also get an equivalent degree to get admission to B.Tech courses.

B.Sc:-

• • Students must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and they must get 50%.
• • Students must have mathematics as a subject in their 10+2.
• • Candidates with Mathematics as a core or ancillary subject at the B.Sc level can also apply for the B.Tech.

Application Process

• • Fill in all the necessary details like name, address, date of birth, email ID, phone no, etc.
• • When registration is completed they will be provided with the application number.
• • The student has to create a password login, he has to use the application number as the ID.
• • Required documents are submitted by the students at the university.
• • Then they have to pay the admission fee online to the university.
• • Then they will have to print the confirmation form after the fee payment.

• • All the lecture rooms are equipped with projectors, so the students can be taught with images and clips. It will help them understand better and remember facts for a long time.
