AIIMS or All India Institute of Medical Sciences is one of the most prestigious colleges and hospitals for medical education. AIIMS Delhi is a public meaning government owned medical research university located at New Delhi, Ansari Nagar East. The institute was governed by the act of AIIMS, operated in 1956 and continued under the influence of The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The health survey of the government of India then, recommended the establishment of All India Institute of Medical Sciences to deploy and encourage the medical education of the Indian students. Although the original idea was proposed under then Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, after the initial discussion on the establishment of AIIMS several reputed illustrious individuals played their part in bringing the idea to AIIMS into reality.
Today after the continuous engagement of the institute, it has become one of the top most reputed institutes for medical education in India. This is because of various reasons and advancement achieved by the institute in several aspects of medical education and practices. The foundation stone of AIIMS Delhi was laid in 1952 and the final inauguration was statused in the year 1956, many reputed alumni, professionals and various other figures took the initiative in the inauguration of the institute.
The old and new block in the institutes have been established after the name of Rajkumari Amrit Kaur who was the Health Minister of India at that time, 1956. She also gave about 100 acres of land for construction of the OPD’s and Hostels.
The whole campus of All India Institute of Medical Sciences is huge and takes about 214 acres of land. It has one of the largest and most beautiful campuses in the whole country. In the neighborhood lies the National Medical Library, which has an enormous number of educational books for reading and writing based on medical education. The students can easily assist themselves in the library and go for self studies.

In 2023, the number of total students registered for NEET examination is 2087462 from all over India, out of which the number of students who appeared for the examination were 2038596. Upon the declaration of the NEET Examination result 2023. The total qualified candidates were 1145976. To pursue courses under NEET 2023, candidates must have qualified class 12 with a minimum 50% marks (UR category) and 40% (reserved category) marks. The Academic Qualification :- Students must complete the 10+2 examination with a percentage of 50% for General category students. Including their completed degree program with 10+2 certificates from recognised boards of education, students are required to pass their NEET examination first in India.
Age limit : Age of the candidate should be more than 17 years. Students are required to take admission within the years of their NEET examination results have been announced.
Subjects should be Physics, Chemistry & Biology and also must have English as a compulsory subject during the course of their education in India.
Students must have cleared the NEET examinations.
