NEET 2024 Live Updates Guidelines by NTA

Attention all the candidates who are going to appear for tomorrow's NEET UG entrance exam. NTA is going to conduct NEET UG entrance in which more than 24 lakhs students are going to appear across India

NTA has released the list of barred items, which is not allowed at any cost inside the examination center, candidates must have a look at the list released by the agency it will be of their own benefit.

Barred Items :
  • • No communication device like smartphones, bluetooth,pager, earphones microphone, health band etc.
  • • Wallet, goggles, handbag, belt, caps etc are not allowed
  • • No watch/wrist watch, camera, bracelet etc
  • • No food item opened or packed , no water bottle.
  • • No jewelry,ornaments, metallic items.
  • • Any item like textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, pen, scale, writing pad, pen drives, eraser, calculator, log table, electronic pen/scanner etc. is not permissible.owed
  • • Any other item that could be used unfairly, such as hiding communication devices like a microchip, camera, Bluetooth device, etc. is not allowed.

Examination center will not be responsible for keeping your belongings, if someone is wearing any article of faith he/she must inform the center two hours before entering the examination hall, and if it is discovered during screening time it will be taken off by the authorities and only then you will be allowed to give the exam.

Dress Code:

Candidates need to follow the following instruction while appearing for the NEET entrance exam:

  • • Slippers and sandals only with low heels are allowed, shoes are not permissible.
  • • In case of any deviation required due to unavoidable (medical, etc.) circumstances, specific Approval of NTA must be obtained before the Admit Cards are issued
  • • Heavy clothes and/or long sleeves are not permitted. However, in case candidates come in cultural/customary dress at the examination center, they should report at least an hour before the last reporting time, ie, 12.30 pm, so that there is enough time for proper frisking without any inconvenience to the candidate while maintaining the sanctity of the examination.
Instructions for Parents/Guardians:

Parents / guardians should guide their ward properly about the following issues before leaving for the NEET UG 2024 entrance exam; candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination center after 1:30 p.m. Therefore, the candidate shall leave home well in advance, taking into consideration various factors such as traffic, the location of the center, weather conditions, etc.

It is expected that the candidate will follow all the instructions and maintain discipline in the examination/ examination hall. The candidate will not breach any examination rule. If the candidate finds another candidate using unfair means in the examination, the Invigilators on duty should be immediately informed.

Candidate Only Need to Bring Following in the Examination Center:
  • • One Postcard-Sized (4”X6”) color photograph with a white background should be pasted on the proforma downloaded with the Admit Card and handed over to the invigilator at the center.
  • • Admit Card along with passport size photograph affixed to it.
  • • Valid original identity proof and PwBD certificate, if applicable.
  • • One passport-size photograph is to be affixed to the attendance sheet.

Candidates who do not bring the downloaded proforma with a postcard size (4”X6”) photograph pasted and one passport size photograph will not be allowed to sit in the examination and it will lead to his/her disqualification.

The candidate should regularly visit the website (https://exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/) and check registered email/SMS for any updates regarding the examination.

Instructions to be Followed in the Examination Hall:

The examination center will be open two hours before the starting of the test. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination center after 1.30 pm. Therefore, candidates must ensure that they leave home well in advance, considering all facts like traffic, location of the center, weather conditions, etc. Candidates are expected to take their seats immediately after the opening of the examination hall.

The candidate must show, on-demand, the admit card for admission to the examination hall. A candidate who does not possess a valid admit card shall not be allowed to enter the examination hall by the center superintendent.

Each candidate will be allotted a seat with a roll number. Candidates must find out and occupy their allotted seats. If a candidate appears in the examination from a seat or room other than the allotted one, the candidature shall be canceled.

Schedule of the Entrance Exam:
  • • Timing and duration of examination: 2 pm to 5.20 pm (Indian Standard Time) (3 hours 20 minutes).
  • • Last Entry to the examination center is till 1.30 pm.
  • • Sitting on the seat in the Examination. Hall/Room: 1.15 pm onwards
  • • No food item opened or packed , no water bottle.
  • • Announcement of important instructions and checking of admit cards by the Invigilator 1.30 pm to 1.45 pm
  • • Distribution of test booklet by the invigilator at 1.45 pm.
  • • Writing of particulars on the test booklet by the candidate: 1.50 pm.
  • • Test commences: 2 pm
  • • Test concludes: 5.20 pm
