The college MET Institute of Management was opened by Mumbai Educational Trust in 1989. MET stands for Mumbai Educational Trust. The college offers various courses in which some are full-time and some are part-time.
The college’s flagship program is the MBA course. However, it does provide various courses in different specialties. These specialties are Management Studies, Finance Management, Information Management, Marketing Management and HR Development.
The college is recognized by the University of Mumbai. The college was termed as top B-school in Mumbai about 30 years ago. The college focus has been to develop college students into management professionals who will be industry-ready and face different challenges. The college provides its students with deep knowledge of oriented skill sets by which they can face the challenge of the market and society and run them easily. The learning program of the college is covered with the latest tools and technologies that are offered in the digital world. The college offers close connections with the industries and alumni to share deep insights into the business world and industry areas. The college was certified by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in 2015 and got its badge of ISO 9001:2015.
To get admission to this college you need to take an entrance examination. These entrance exams are CAT, XAT, GMAT, CMAT and XMAT. Admission to MCA requires you to take CET, MAH and MCA exams. The admission is finalized based on a personal interview and a group discussion to know the aspects that students want and why they want to join the institute.
1. PGDM- Professional Management Education Program : This course was adapted by the college in 1960 when IIM and other institutes were adapting it. In the college, they teach it with adaptation in the MBA program and putting it with new age technologies which do justify the name of the program. The program offered is a 3-year program by the university.
2. PGDM with M and E : This course teaches the students specialization of different fields that includes HR, Marketing, Finance, Operations and IT and Media and Entertainment. This subject aims to get the students to be able to get into one of these industries and ace them. The 2-year program covers different topics that are related to Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Operations and IT. The subject also covers various topics of Media and Entertainment are Advertising and Brand Management, Brand Management, Event Management, Media Management, Public Relations, Storytelling, TV, Films, OTT and Digital Media. The college also provides the students with various opportunities such as internships, projects and industry training to provide an insight into real-world problems.
3. PGP EMBA- Postgraduate Programs in Empowered Management and Business Administration : It is a two-year program and it offers specialization in Finance, Marketing and Human Resources. There have been a lot of students who prefer MBA but PGP EMBA is designed to teach students knowledge in industry exposure and make them leaders of tomorrow. The program is constantly changing and needs improvement in Personal e branding technology proficiency, Virtual communication skills, Domain knowledge, Virtual Communication skills, Flexibility and adaptable gestures of MBA.
4. MMS- Master of Management Studies : This program is a two-year full-time program. It aims to develop the students into sharp and successful managers. The college teaches the students with live projects, case studies, paper presentations, role-play, discussions and brain-storming exercises. This program results in excellent placement opportunities.
5. PGP SBA- Postgraduate Program in Strategic Business Analytics : This course is a two-year program that is the flagship program of the college. The college provides four certificate courses in this subject with different specializations that include Finance Analytics, Marketing Analytics and Human Resource Analytics. These specializations provide the in-depth knowledge and capability of management. This course is for those students who want to learn about data but do not have knowledge of coding.
6. PhD in Management : This course offers the students to study and research in Finance, HR, Marketing and Operations. The research done by the students is done by the guidelines of the University of Mumbai. The time given for research work is six months after which the students have to wait till the result comes.

The college does not provide any scholarships. The students of reserved caste can get a discount on fees as per the government norms. The college also helps those students who are economically weaker for an education loan just by submitting the necessary documents to the college.
