On the occasion of World Health Day, NMC quoted that it has taken an initiative to address mental health ,like there will be mental health services, confidential counseling and therapy to address stress and anxiety issue among the students.
NMC & NTF focus on improving the physical and mental health of students by taking an initiative called as "My Health My Rights".
Commission aims to introduce wellness programs, prioritizing physical health, emotional resilience & work life balance, including yoga, management workshops & nutritional guidance.
Dr Aruna Vanikar , president of UGMEB, NMC quoted that student mental well being is our top most focus. This new initiative is taken by Anti-ragging cell of the commission.
Dr Aruna Vanikar stated that , the program will stop suicide and drop outs, which is a matter of concern for NMC. Apart from this, it will destagmitize mental health issues within the medical community promoting a culture of broad mindedness & support.
Medical student while going through a rigorous medical course, it took a great toll on the mental health, physical health and emotional health of the medical students.
